v  Always keep firearms pointed in a safe direction

v  Always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot

 v  Always keep  the firearm unloaded until ready to use

 v  Always be sure the firearm is safe to operate

 v  Always know how to use the firearm safely

v  Always use the correct ammunition for your firearm

v  Always wear eye and ear protection

v  Never use alcohol or drugs before or while shooting

v  Store firearms so they are not accessible to unauthorized persons

v  After shooting, unload your firearm before exiting the firing range

v  If you possess a  concealed carry permit, holster your firearm before leaving the range
